Ester Naydine (Johnson-Maiden, Clegg-Divorced) Franklin was born March 17, 1942 in Cole Camp, Missouri and departed Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Crown Care Center in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Phillip and Amanda (Hindman) Johnson; one infant daughter, Natalie Kim; one infant grand-daughter Aunna Feruska; eight siblings, Amel, Cecil, Blanch, Ralph, James, Carl, Wren and William (Dicky).
Esther graduated from State Fair Community College in Sedalia, Missouri with an Associates Degree and was a Certified Medical Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant. Before her retirement she worked in several health and rehabilitation centers in this area.
Esther had been a resident of Lee's Summit, Missouri for over nineteen years before declining health necessitated a move to a health care facility.
Esther was a firm believer and to Shepherd's Chapel her son Wren introduced her to view online.
Esther is survived by eight children, George (Larry), Wren (Randy), Susan, Lori, Vicki, Rhonda, Bill and Mark; seventeen grandchildren, Amber, Anthony, Anthony, Brandi, Charles, Christi, Elijah, Erin, Evan, Hanna, Jacob, Kelli, Kimberly, Kolby, Mikeal, Savanna & Traci; three great grandsons, Preston, Taevon, Tyler; four great granddaughters Caroline, Camryn, Kyleigh & Leigha; six siblings, Laura, Andrew, Robert, Jr., Leroy, Marie and Eva Lee; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation Memorial Service: 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 1300 Lexington Road, Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Rev. Carl Knapp will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date.
Burial: Cremated
